Scott Tourville
Chief Executive Officer and Co-owner
Scott joined ZEUS Scientific in 1987. Since acquiring the company with his brother John in 1998, he has focused on transforming ZEUS into an industry-leading in vitro diagnostics company through organic growth, licensing arrangements, and acquisition. Scott has established successful strategic partnerships and relationships with other leading companies to provide complete diagnostics solutions, including reagents, instrumentation, and automation for the clinical diagnostic market. Previously Scott was ZEUS' VP of finance and controller; prior to that he worked as an accountant for Matsushita Electric Corporation (now Panasonic). He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Lycoming College, and has earned his CFP® certification through the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.


John Tourville
Chief Operating Officer and Co-owner
John joined ZEUS Scientific in 1989 as production manager and has progressed through several roles at the company, including operations manager. He now oversees the production and supply chain management for all operational activities. With over 24 years of experience with in vitro diagnostic immunoassay manufacturing, John has directed the implementation of process and quality improvement initiatives to ensure ZEUS Scientific is a premier provider of high-performing, easy-to-use clinical diagnostic solutions. John earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in operations management from the Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University.


Chris Howard, B.Sc., M.Sc., MBA
Chief Commercial Officer
Chris joined ZEUS Scientific in 2010 to lead all commercial activities within the company. This includes all sales, marketing, business development, technical service, customer service, and shipping and receiving. He has led the formation of the marketing program at ZEUS Scientific from the ground up. Previously, Chris held management positions in sales and marketing at various companies, including Becton Dickinson, Inverness Medical/Alere, Denville Scientific, and Eurogentec. He has also worked on a variety of clinical research projects for the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Chris has been conferred a bachelor's degree with honors in biochemistry from Bishop’s University in Quebec, Canada, as well as a master's degree in biochemistry from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. He also holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix.


Mark Kopnitsky, B.Sc., M.S.
Chief Scientific Officer
Mark has been with ZEUS Scientific since 1990, overseeing the development of an extensive line of in vitro diagnostic test systems. The current product line includes approximately 150 assays for a range of autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, and other specialized markers. In addition to his research and development contributions, Mark oversees quality systems, regulatory affairs, and product development from assay conceptualization through regulatory clearance. He has submitted and cleared more than 100 IVD products through the United States Food and Drug Administration. Prior to joining ZEUS, he was responsible for the development and support of ELISA tests for Pharmacia Diagnostics (formerly Electronucleonics, Inc.). Mark holds a bachelor's degree in biology - secondary education from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and a master's degree in microbiology with an emphasis in molecular genetics from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.


Marsia Silletti (Palma)
Director of Commercial Operations
Marsia Silletti (Palma) has been with ZEUS Scientific since 2008. Marsia began her career in the technical services department and has since transitioned into the role of commercial operations manager, overseeing all customer service, shipping, and receiving activities. Marsia also manages the distribution partner relationships at ZEUS, including distribution contracts. Marsia earned both her bachelor of science degree in biology and her masters degree in business administration from Seton Hall University in New Jersey.


Alicia Barrett, MT (ASCP)
Technical Service Manager
Alicia Barrett, MT(ASCP) joined ZEUS Scientific in 2020 as the Technical Services Manager where she leads the ZEUS laboratory support, technical support, field technical applications and instrument applications teams in their daily operations. She has worked in Clinical Diagnostics since 2000 at various companies in multiple customer facing technical and sales roles. Her background has included products in clinical chemistry, immunology, HPLC, autoimmune and infectious diseases specializing in ELISA Methodology and Diagnostic Instrumentation. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, certified as an ASCP Medical Technologist and is currently pursuing an Masters in Business Administration with a focus on Project Management at Columbia Southern University.


Travis Smyre
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Travis joined ZEUS in 2021 to manage our global sales efforts. Previously, Travis held management responsibilities in sales, marketing and commercial management at various companies including Siemens Healthineers, DiaSorin and Bio-Rad Laboratories. He has over thirty years of experience in the in vitro diagnostic marketplace primarily focused on autoimmune and infectious diseases. Travis holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
